Wow, it has been a minute since I have updated this blog. My last post was from over two years ago. Needless to say, I have been busy, but I am still here and I am still thinking through scenarios that would be helpful to share and document (although I have not quite find the time to write them).
At any rate, unless you have been under a rock, you probably know that Fortinet has made the switch from SSLVPN to IPSec VPN for remote access. I recently had a customer who started on that journey and asked about configuring this to function with Entra ID (if that’s is what they are still calling it these days) and Cisco Duo. I found pieces of information but could not find a guide that assembled it altogether…so I decided to make my own. I have shared this in a few places and got decent feedback so I thought, what better place than to share it with you here!
Please check out the video below for a guide to take an unconfigured FortiGate, FortiClient and Cisco Duo and create a working remote access IPSec solution in about thirty minutes. I hope you enjoy and as always, please share your feedback!
